"We are each of us angels with only one wing, and we can only fly by helping one another.”  -Luciano Crescenzo

Bring me your secrets, your scars, your shame.  Bring me your broken dreams, your broken heart, your broken life. Bring me your fear, your frustration, your failures.  Bring me your depression, your despair, your damaged hope.  I am a safe place, bring it all, lay it down, rest, process and heal.  I see you and I want to hear your story.

Hello, I am Anne “Chari” Oliver.  I completed my BA in Psychology and Christian Counseling and completed my MA in Licensed Professional Counseling through Liberty University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have been in the mental health field since 2015, working with all communities and diagnoses in assessing their needs, setting goals for their treatment, and seeking improvement in their quality of daily life.

My passion is working with clients who have experienced trauma, are diagnosed with PTSD, and experience daily anxiety and depression, as well as the everyday stressors that impact a life.   PTSD, trauma, major depression disorder, and generalized anxiety are a few areas that I focus on in therapy. Through my work in Crisis Intervention and Stability as a member of a Mobile Crisis response team, working the Women’s Resource Center Hotline, and working as an Emergency Advocate, I have been able to pair my skills and abilities with these passions to aid in clients’ healing paths. My approaches include but are not limited to Cognitive Behavior therapy, DBT skills, mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, Solution Focus, and Client-Centered Therapy. Utilizing these therapies allows the client to progress toward the goals that they have set for themselves and to begin to bring stability back into their lives.

I like to remind myself about a story of Hagar in Genesis 16:7-13, found in the Bible. Hagar found herself in a life where she had lost all hope, a life that was broken, a life in which she found herself invisible.  An angel of the Lord found her in the desert, and He said to her “Where have you come from and where are you going?” In that moment, Hagar realizes she is not alone, she is not invisible, she feels seen and the burden feels less.  While I do not at all compare myself to the God who sees, it is this story that fuels my passion to help others feel seen, not only for what they are going through but for who they are and who they can be. My goal is to walk alongside each of my clients in their healing path, to hold space for their goals and dreams as they weed out their hurt, and to watch as they move forward gaining hope, purpose, and a plan for their life.

If you see yourself in any of these areas, I invite you to schedule a time that is just for you to be seen and heard. I am a wife, mother of 4, nana of 9 girls, and dog momma to three very spoiled furbabies. I look forward to meeting with you and working towards your goals and reaching your hope.
